[…] The studies presented by Galleria Giamblanco are among the works that Quadrone dedicated to the island of Sardinia and both come from the family of the painter and engraver Celestino Turletti (Turin, 1845-1904), promoter with Marco Calderini and Giuseppe Ricci of the Posthumous Exhibition of 1899 at the Società Promotrice delle Belle Arti in Turin and the monograph of the artist published in 1902. The panel with the Sardinian was put up for sale at 70 lire at the 1899 exhibition and was subsequently donated by Quadrone's widow to Lieutenant Colonel Vittorio Turletti, the author of the volume Attraverso le Alpi.
