Oil painting on canvas, 65.5 x 51 cm, depicting a "Scene of daily life" by Pandolfo Reschi (Danzig c. 1643 - Florence, August 1696), signed on the thigh of the horse in the center of the scene. "The artist of Polish origin, Pandolph Resch, better known by the Italianized name of Pandolfo Reschi, was originally a soldier who came to Italy at the age of twenty. He trained in Rome between about 1660 and 1668 with Jacques Courtois il Borgognone and Salvator Rosa and lived in the house of Cavalier Tempesta. [...] Among the artist's favorite themes were battles, landscapes, genre painting with an early vocation for vedutism.
