This delicate "River View" is part of a large number of paintings dedicated to the surroundings of Rome and the Lazio countryside by Hendrik van Lint, whose authorship is clearly evident from his typical meticulous stylistic and painterly signature, as well as from the inclusion of some of his unmistakable parameters, such as the two figurines - a man and a woman talking, accompanied by a child - in the foreground on the path...
